Frequently Asked Questions
Applications may be delayed and/ or rescheduled at any time due to weather conditions, we appreciate your understanding and patience. Applying treatments in the correct conditions allows for the best possible outcome for your lawn and keeps us compliant with state and federal law.
Do I need Weed Control if I don’t currently see weeds in my yard?
Our comprehensive weed control program includes preventive measures to keep weeds from sprouting. Even if you don’t see any weeds in your yard right now, weed seeds could be lying dormant and waiting to sprout at the right time. Our pre- emergent herbicides act as a protective barrier to keep weeds from appearing in your yard.
Do I still need weed control after the weeds are gone?
Weed control is a continuous battle, as weather and seasons change different weeds will sprout. We use pre- emergent herbicides; however, breakthrough still happens. In that case our selective post- emergent herbicides target weeds without injuring your desirable turf. Additionally, our high-quality fertilizer creates a dense, well-nourished lawn to create an environment that is difficult for weeds to take over.
What does your program include?
Our Weed Control and Fertilization program is custom tailored to the needs of your lawn. We use pre- emergent herbicides to create a protective barrier to prevent weeds from germinating. We also use post- emergent herbicides to treat broadleaf and grassy weeds present in your lawn. We use only the highest quality fertilizer to feed your lawn to create a beautiful, lush turf.

Will the products used kill my grass?
We use selective herbicides that target weeds without killing your grass. During the hotter months, some yellowing of your turf may occur near weeds that are treated. Discoloration is considered normal, and will fade.
Are your products child and pet safe?
Treated areas will be safe for re- entry when dry.
How long until I see results?
Visible results are usually found within 14- 21 days, but can vary. Mature and hard to kill weeds can take longer/ more applications for complete effect which is why year-round treatment is the best option. Cooler temperatures may delay symptoms of effective weed control.
How long will your applications take?

Our time on site depends on several factors including the size and condition of your property, and the step of our program. Some steps take longer than others. We take steps ahead of time to maximize efficiency while on your property.

How long before/ after should I mow?

Our treatments are most effective when they have more leaf area to contact, so please refrain from within 1 day of treatment if possible. To avoid injuring your lawn, refrain from cutting off more than 1/3rd of the overall grass length at a time.
How long before/ after can I water the yard?
Our treatments are most effective when they have had 24 hours to “soak in” to the weeds, but receiving rainfall or irrigation before then does not “wash away” the treatment. If your treatment is on your watering day, you may water when the treatment has dried. We ask that you “water in” each treatment with at least ½” of water within 48 hours.
What if it rains?
Rain helps to activate most of our products. The remainder of our products are “rain proof” when dry, or within 4 hours. If heavy rainfall was received within 4 hours after our visit, please contact us.
Do you have a referral program?
Yes! We appreciate you taking the time to refer your neighbors. Let us know who you have referred to us, and we will discount a future invoice after completion of their first treatment.
How much/ often do I need to water my yard?
Watering requirements vary depending on weather, micro/ macro climate. Deep infrequent watering has been proven to be most effective in creating resilient turf. Please consult local guidelines for current watering restrictions in your area.
Why are there yellow/ brown/ bare spots in my yard?
Turf discoloration or bare spots can be caused by several factors including disease, insect infestation, or most commonly maintenance schedule. Frequent mowing with clean, sharp blades and adequate water are extremely important in creating an environment that your turf can thrive in. We offer preventive and curative insect and fungicide treatments. If you know of any areas that are prone to issues, please notify us.
Do I need to be home when my yard is treated?
It is not required for you to be home when we visit. Please leave the side/ back gate unlocked and make sure the yard is free of debris and obstructions. Please make sure pets are secured indoors until the treated areas are dry.
Why are weeds still showing up when I have already had a few treatments?
Pre- emergent herbicides minimize weed growth, but results are often not seen for several months. During that time and after, we use post- emergent herbicides to treat broadleaf and grassy weeds present in your yard.
How do I know when you are coming?
We will send a reminder email prior to your visit. If you need to re- schedule or cancel for any reason, please notify us at least 2 business days before your scheduled visit.
